The metronome that understands the whole song.

Most metronomes give you one number and a click. Real music changes — tempo shifts, time signatures switch, sections come and go. Metronome Map puts the entire arrangement on one visual timeline, so you can rehearse any piece exactly the way it's played.

The app isn't on the stores yet — but we're inviting testers to the beta before launch. Drop your email to follow along and get your invite.

How it works

From "just a click" to a map

Step 01

Map the song once

Drop in the sections, set the tempo for each, and mark where the time signature changes. It takes a minute — and then it's yours forever.

  • Add sections in seconds
  • Per-section tempo & feel
  • Edit any bar without redoing the rest

Step 02

Rehearse to the map

Hit play and the metronome follows the song — tempo and meter change automatically, right where they should. Tap any section to jump straight there.

  • Automatic tempo & meter changes
  • Tap a section to start from there
  • Clear count-in so you never miss the "1"

Step 03

Loop the hard bits

Press and drag across the timeline to select any passage — one bar or a whole section — and loop it. Slow it down until it's clean, then bring it back up to tempo.

  • Drag to loop across multiple sections
  • Practice speed, independent of the map
  • One-bar count-in on every loop

Nail every meter change and section transition with a count-in you can trust.

FAQ

Good questions

Is Metronome Map free? +
Right now it's in beta — free to test once you join. At launch, the core metronome and mapping features stay free; some advanced tools may be part of a Pro upgrade. No ads either way.
Do I need to import audio files? +
No. Metronome Map is about the structure of a song — tempo, meter and sections. You build the map yourself, so it works for any piece, even ones you're writing.
Can it handle changing time signatures? +
Yes — that's the whole point. Switch from 4/4 to 6/8 to 7/8 mid-song and every bar stays exactly where it belongs.
Which devices are supported? +
Metronome Map runs on both iOS and Android phones and tablets.
Will there be more apps from PM Technology? +
Yes — we ship a new app roughly every week. Join the list to hear about each one.
